Kabul is experiencing a boom in real estate prices unlike the trend in other parts of the world. According to our agents on the ground some areas of Kabul have seen price rises of 75% or more. What is causing this property boom?
First, the international agencies buy property in the best locations and are willing to pay for it.
Second, many wealthy Afghans who previously invested abroad, are more willing to return home and invest in the local real estate market.
Third, as affluence and prosperity has gradually improved so has the willingness to buy homes in Kabul and other cities in Afghanistan.
Fourth, the population of Kabul is 5 million and increasing everyday. There are not enough homes to accommodate all the new arrivals so the price of property keeps going up.
